NGC 507 is a member of a galaxy group at a distance of about 225 million light years. Members with NGC numbers are NGC 494, NGC 495, NGC 496, NGC 498, NGC 501, NGC503, NGC 504, NGC 507, NGC 508, NGC 515, NGC 517  (see finder chart below). Other very distant galaxies are visible on this image, each of them comprising several billion stars.
